TRIBUTE GIVING
Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to memorialize the passing of a loved one or celebrate the birthday or anniversary of someone close to you while having a lasting impact. Here is some helpful information:
- Although not necessary, please consider notifying us so that we may inform you of all donations we receive
- Include verbiage such as “In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests donations be made to The Carpenters’ Company, 320 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106-0167"
Gifts made to The Carpenters’ Company are 100% tax deductible.
Tribute gifts have a significant impact on our fundraising every year and we are grateful to families who select us as the beneficiary.

THE CARPENTERS’ COMPANY PLANNED GIVING PROGRAM
The Carpenters’ Company’s Planned Giving Program provides you with the opportunity to make a legacy gift and include the Company in your estate planning. You can choose to make a gift to The Carpenters’ Company that would provide you with life income or make a bequest. We offer a variety of gift options that expand your horizons and provides benefits that enable you to make a larger gift than originally anticipated.

Planned giving is an ideal opportunity to leave a legacy that will have a significant impact on the future of The Carpenters’ Company and their ability to Serve the future generations of the Built Environment Industry, and Preserve their National Historic Landmark, Carpenters’ Hall.

Gifts of Marketable Securities
Such as appreciated securities, stocks, and bonds also provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to the Company before they are sold.

Including personal residences, second homes, income property, and vacant land - offer a wide variety of tax and other benefits.
Gifts of Personal Property
This includes rare books, works of art, valuable collectibles and tangible items of demonstrable value - in some cases this may enable you to make a significant gift to support The Carpenters’ Company with outstanding tax benefits to you.
Gifts of Life Insurance
A donor can designate The Carpenters’ Company as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy. Although there is no tax deduction for making this revocable gift, your estate will be entitled to an estate tax deduction if the insurance proceeds are ultimately paid to The Carpenters’ Company.
Matching Gifts
An easy way to double or even triple your donation to The Carpenters’ Company is to find out if your company has a matching-gift program.
